Zone/PU-wise Beds in Hospitals of Indian Railways as on 21st March 2018

As on 21st March 2018, there were 13,748 indoor beds in 126 hospitals of Indian Railways. The top 5 railway Zones/PUs with respect to number of indoor beds in hospitals of Indian Railways as on 21.03.2018 were Eastern Railway, Central Railway, Southern Railway, North East Frontier Railway and Northern Railway.

The number of hospital beds in Eastern Railway was 1,587 in 8 hospitals as on 21st March 2018, which accounted 11.54% of the total hospital beds in Indian Railways. There were 1,164 beds in 11 hospitals of Central Railway as on 21.03.2018. It accounted 8.47% of the total hospital beds in Indian Railways as on the same period. The number of hospital beds in Southern Railway was 1,131 in 10 hospitals as on 21st March 2018, which accounted 8.23% of the total hospital beds in Indian Railways.

There were 1,107 and 1,101 hospital beds in North East Frontier Railway and Northern Railway respectively as on 21st March 2018. North East Frontier Railway accounted for 8.05% and Northern Railway accounted for 8.01% of the total hospital beds in Indian Railways as on 21.03.2018. The number of hospitals in North East Frontier Railway and Northern Railway was 10 and 9 respectively as on 21st March 2018.
