Year-wise Details of Coal Imported and Power Generated by the Coal Based Thermal Power Plants in the Country from 2019-20 to 2022-23

This chart provides information about the year-wise details of Coal Imported and Power Generated by the Coal Based Thermal Power Plants in the Country from 2019-20 to 2022-23 (April 2022 to January 2023). The total of 189.4 million tonnes of coal was imported and 3901.8 MU coal power was generated by the Coal Based Thermal Power Plants in the Country. The highest import of coal was 69.2 MT in 2019-20 and the highest coal-based generation was 1041.5 MU in 2021-22. The lowest import of coal was 27 MT in 2021-22 and the lowest of coal-based generation was 948.2 MU in 2022-23 (Apr-Jan).
