The production of wheat was 3,034 kg per hectare in India in 2015-16. It has surged by 5.47% to 3,200 kg per hectare in India during 2016-17 over 2015-16. We have observed annual growth of 4.9% in production of wheat in India during 2018-19 from 3,368 kg per hectare during 2017-18. The wheat production in India was 3,421 kg per hectare during 2019-20, down by -3.17% against 3,533 kg per hectare during 2018-19.
The maximum value of 3,533 kg per hectare has been seen in 2018-19 in production of wheat in India during the period under consideration.
