The number of visitor/tourist arrivals in India from different countries was 474000 in August 2013. The number of visitor arrivals in India was 436000 in September 2013. It decreased by -38000 as compared to August 2013. In percentage terms, the decrease was -8.02%.
The number of visitor arrivals in India was 589000 in October 2013. It increased by 153000 as compared to September 2013. In percentage terms, the increase was 35.09%. This high growth during the month of October 2013 was mainly owing to the increase in the number of visitors from American and European countries due to onset of cold season in these countries.
The number of visitor arrivals in India was 718000 in November 2013. It increased by 129000 as compared to October 2013. In percentage terms, the increase was 21.9%. The number of visitor arrivals in India was 800000 in December 2013. It increased by 82000 as compared to November 2013. In percentage terms, the increase was 11.42%. This month recorded the maximum number of visitor/tourist arrivals in India during the period under consideration.
The number of visitor arrivals in India was 720000 in January 2014. It decreased by -80000 as compared to December 2013. In percentage terms, the decrease was -10%. The number of visitor arrivals in India was 738000 in February 2014. It increased by 18000 as compared to January 2014. In percentage terms, the increase was 2.5%. The number of visitor arrivals in India was 669000 in March 2014. It decreased by -69000 as compared to February 2014. In percentage terms, the decrease was -9.35%.
The number of visitor arrivals in India was 504000 in April 2014. It decreased by -165000 as compared to March 2014. In percentage terms, the decrease was -24.66%. The number of visitor arrivals in India was 421000 in May 2014. It decreased by -83000 as compared to April 2014. In percentage terms, the decrease was -16.47%.
The highest monthly growth in number of visitor arrivals in India of 153000 was recorded in the month of October 2013 during the period under consideration.
