Tuberculosis Cases reported under Revised National Tuberculosis Control Programme from 2014 to 2017

The total number of Tuberculosis (TB) cases reported under the Revised National Tuberculosis Control Programme (RNTCP) was 1550356 during 2014. It has increased by 3.72% to 1607983 during 2015 over 2014. Out of total 1550356 TB cases reported during 2014; 1443942 (93.1%) and 106414 (6.9%) were notified from public sector and private sector respectively. Out of total 1607983 TB cases reported during 2015; 1423181 (88.5%) were notified from public sector and 184802 (11.5%) were notified from private sector. Annual growth of -1.44% and 73.66% has been seen in TB cases reported from public sector and private sector respectively during 2015 over 2014.

The total number of TB cases reported under RNTCP was 1585815 during 2017 (till 26 December), down by -9.64% versus 1754957 during 2016. Out of total 1585815 TB cases reported during 2017; 1247259 (78.7%) were notified from public sector and 338556 (21.3%) were notified from private sector. We have observed annual decline of -12.46% in TB cases reported from public sector during 2017 above 2016 from 1424771 TB cases. Annual growth of 2.53% has been found in TB cases reported from private sector during 2017 above 2016 from 330186 TB cases.
