Total Working Expenses and Miscellaneous Expenditure of Railway from 2000-01 to 2013-14

The Total Working Expenses of Railways was Rs. 34667.3 crores during the year 2000-01. The Miscellaneous Expenditure of Railways was Rs. 272.4 crores during the year 2000-01.

The Total Working Expenses of Railways was Rs. 36293.2 crores during the year 2001-02. It increased by 1625.9 crores as compared to the year 2000-01. In percentage terms, the growth was 4.69% during the period. The Miscellaneous Expenditure of Railways was Rs. 727.1 crores during the year 2001-02. It increased by 454.7 crores as compared to the year 2000-01. In percentage terms, the growth was 166.92% during the period.

The Total Working Expenses of Railways was Rs. 45291.6 crores during the year 2005-06. It increased by 8998.4 crores as compared to the year 2001-02. In percentage terms, the growth was 24.79% during the period. The Miscellaneous Expenditure of Railways was Rs. 1120.5 crores during the year 2005-06. It increased by 393.4 crores as compared to the year 2001-02. In percentage terms, the growth was 54.11% during the period.

The Total Working Expenses of Railways was Rs. 89474.2 crores during the year 2010-11. It increased by 44182.6 crores as compared to the year 2005-06. In percentage terms, the growth was 97.55% during the period. The Miscellaneous Expenditure of Railways was Rs. 860.7 crores during the year 2010-11. It decreased by -259.8 crores as compared to the year 2005-06. In percentage terms, the decline was -23.19% during the period.

The Total Working Expenses of Railways was Rs. 130320.8 crores during the year 2013-14. It increased by 40846.6 crores as compared to the year 2010-11. In percentage terms, the growth was 45.65% during the period. The Miscellaneous Expenditure of Railways was Rs. 1144 crores during the year 2013-14. It increased by 283.3 crores as compared to the year 2010-11. In percentage terms, the growth was 32.92% during the period.
