Total Revenue Receipt as percentage of GSDP from 2007-08 to 2012-13

Revenue receipt as percentage of GSDP of all the states along with Delhi & Puducherry has decreased from 14.69% in 2007-08 to 14.28% in 2012-13 (Pre-Actual). There were ups and downs in revenue receipt as percentage of GSDP in this period. Revenue receipt as percentage of GSDP of all the states along with Delhi & Puducherry was at the highest level i.e. 16.91% in 2010-11 during the said period. While the lowest level i.e. 13.52% revenue receipt as percentage of GSDP of all the states was in 2009-10.

The 10 States/UTs with highest level of Public debt (total liabilities) as percentage of GSDP in 2012-13 are: Mizoram with 70.86%; Manipur with 56.91%; Arunachal Pradesh with 47.65%; Nagaland with 43.47%; Jammu and Kashmir with 34.69%; Sikkim with 33.03%; Meghalaya with 30.53%; Tripura with 29.55%; Assam with 21.67% and Himachal Pradesh with 21.16%.

Sikkim has shown highest decline in the revenue receipt as percentage of GSDP during the period i.e. from 59.77% in 2007-08 to 33.03% in 2012-13 (Pre-Actual).
