Total Allocation (Revenue and Capital) for Defence Forces under Defence Services Estimates from 2015-16 to 2018-19

We have observed annual growth of 96 basis points in total allocation (revenue + capital) of fund for Defence Forces under Defence Services Estimates (DSE) to Rs. 2,49,099 crore during 2016-17 from Rs. 2,46,727 crore during 2015-16. In absolute term the increase was Rs. 2,372 crore in total allocation of fund for Defence Forces under DSE in 2016-17 above 2015-16. Capital expenditure for Defence Forces under DSE out of total allocation was Rs. 79,958.31 crore (32.41%) in 2015-16 and Rs. 86,370.92 crore (34.67%) in 2016-17.

Total allocation (revenue + capital) of fund for Defence Forces under DSE was Rs. 279305.32 crore during 2018-19, up by 7.73% against Rs. 259261.9 crore during 2017-18. In absolute term the increase was Rs. 20,043.42 crore in total allocation of fund for Defence Forces under DSE in 2018-19 above 2017-18. Capital expenditure for Defence Forces under DSE out of total allocation was Rs. 90,438.39 crore (34.88%) and Rs. 93,982.13 crore (33.65%) in 2017-18 and 2018-19 respectively.
