The total number of industrial disputes in the year 2013 was 194. The top three causes of industrial disputes in the year 2013 were: Wages and allowances, Bonus and Personnel.
The total number of industrial disputes in the year 2000 was 771. Out of the total 771 disputes in the year 2000, the cause of Wages and allowances accounted for 158 disputes; the cause of Bonus accounted for 66 disputes and the cause of Personnel accounted for 84 disputes. The total number of industrial disputes in the year 2005 was 456. Out of these disputes, the cause of Wages and allowances accounted for 98 disputes; the cause of Bonus accounted for 16 disputes and the cause of Personnel accounted for 43 disputes.
The total number of industrial disputes in the year 2010 was 371. Out of these disputes, the cause of Wages and allowances accounted for 84 disputes; the cause of Bonus accounted for 13 disputes and the cause of Personnel accounted for 34 disputes. The total number of industrial disputes in the year 2011 was 370. Out of these disputes, the cause of Wages and allowances accounted for 92 disputes; the cause of Bonus accounted for 14 disputes and the cause of Personnel accounted for 34 disputes. The total number of industrial disputes in the year 2012(P) was 447. Out of these disputes, the cause of Wages and allowances accounted for 73 disputes; the cause of Bonus accounted for 5 disputes and the cause of Personnel accounted for 44 disputes. This year had seen an increase in the number of industrial disputes in comparison to the previous year.
The total number of industrial disputes in the year 2013(P) was 194. Out of these disputes, the cause of Wages and allowances accounted for 51 disputes; the cause of Bonus accounted for 8 disputes and the cause of Personnel accounted for 18 disputes. There was significant reduction in the number of industrial disputes as compared to the year 2012.
It can be inferred from the analysis of the data that there is an overall long-term trend of decline in the number of industrial disputes in the period 2000 to 2013.
