Top 5 States in Average Yield/Season of Wool Production from Lamb in 2012-13

Top 5 States in average yield/season of wool production from lamb during 2012-13 were: Haryana, Himachal Pradesh, Punjab, Uttarakhand and Gujarat. The average wool yield/season from lamb in India was 0.51 Kg. during the year 2008-09. It decreased to 0.42 Kg. in the year 2012-13. There was an absolute decline of -0.09 Kg. (-17.65%) in the wool yield/season in 2012-13 as compared to that in 2008-09. The average wool yield/season from lamb in Haryana was 1.76 Kg. during the year 2008-09. It was stable at 1.76 Kg. in the year 2012-13. However, there were fluctuations in the wool yield/season in the period between 2008-09 and 2012-13. The average wool yield/season from lamb in Himachal Pradesh was 0.69 Kg. during the year 2008-09. It increased to 1.05 Kg. in the year 2012-13. There was an absolute growth of 0.36 Kg. (52.17%) in the wool yield/season in 2012-13 as compared to that in 2008-09. The average wool yield/season from lamb in Punjab was 0.75 Kg. during the year 2008-09. It increased to 0.81 Kg. in the year 2012-13.

There was an absolute growth of 0.06 Kg. (8%) in the wool yield/season in 2012-13 as compared to that in 2008-09. The average wool yield/season from lamb in Uttarakhand was 0.71 Kg. during the year 2008-09. It decreased to 0.7 Kg. in the year 2012-13. There was an absolute decline of -0.01 Kg. (-1.41%) in the wool yield/season in 2012-13 as compared to that in 2008-09. The average wool yield/season from lamb in Gujarat was 0.72 Kg. during the year 2008-09. It decreased to 0.68 Kg. in the year 2012-13. There was an absolute decline of -0.04 Kg. (-5.56%) in the wool yield/season in 2012-13 as compared to that in 2008-09.
