The number of cases launched by all the Registrars of Companies (ROCs) in India was 9231. The total number of companies involved was 5854. Top 5 ROCs in prosecution cases launched during the year 2013-14 were: West Bengal, Odisha, Kerala, Maharashtra (Pune) and Maharashtra (Mumbai).
The number of cases launched by the Registrar of Companies (ROC) of West Bengal was 5140. The total number of companies involved was 4213, which respectively constituted 55.68% of the total number of cases launched and 71.97% of the total number of companies involved in these cases at the All India level.
The number of cases launched by the Registrar of Companies (ROC) of Odisha was 949. The total number of companies involved was 488, which respectively constituted 10.28% of the total number of cases launched and 8.34% of the total number of companies involved in these cases at the All India level.
The number of cases launched by the Registrar of Companies (ROC) of Kerala was 585. The total number of companies involved was 85, which respectively constituted 6.34% of the total number of cases launched and 1.45% of the total number of companies involved in these cases at the All India level.
The number of cases launched by the Registrar of Companies (ROC) of Maharashtra (Pune) was 542. The total number of companies involved was 264, which respectively constituted 5.87% of the total number of cases launched and 4.51% of the total number of companies involved in these cases at the All India level.
The number of cases launched by the Registrar of Companies (ROC) of Maharashtra (Mumbai) was 307. The total number of companies involved was 160, which respectively constituted 3.33% of the total number of cases launched and 2.73% of the total number of companies involved in these cases at the All India level.
