Top 10 states/UTs with prison inmates released on parole during 2013

Number of persons released on parole in Punjab during 2013 was 8848. Out of these, the number of males was 8359, while the number of females was 489. Thus, the percentage of males released on parole was 94.47%, while the percentage of females was 5.53%.

Number of persons released on parole in Tamil Nadu during 2013 was 4296. Out of these, the number of males was 4276, while the number of females was 20 (99.53% and 0.47% respectively). Number of persons released on parole in Madhya Pradesh during 2013 was 4262. Out of these, the number of males was 4192, while the number of females was 70 (98.36% and 1.64% respectively).

Number of persons released on parole in Haryana during 2013 was 3715. Out of these, the number of males was 3600, while the number of females was 115 (96.9% and 3.1% respectively). Number of persons released on parole in West Bengal during 2013 was 3658. Out of these, the number of males was 3505, while the number of females was 153 (95.82% and 4.18% respectively).

Number of persons released on parole in Maharashtra during 2013 was 1519. Out of these, the number of males was 1479, while the number of females was 40 (97.37% and 2.63% respectively). Number of persons released on parole in Gujarat during 2013 was 1015. Out of these, the number of males was 948, while the number of females was 67 (93.4% and 6.6% respectively).

Out of these, the number of males was 978, while the number of females was 35 (96.54% and 3.46% respectively). Number of persons released on parole in Karnataka during 2013 was 829. Out of these, the number of males was 823, while the number of females was 6 (99.28% and 0.72% respectively). Number of persons released on parole in Andhra Pradesh during 2013 was 813. Out of these, the number of males was 803, while the number of females was 10 (98.77% and 1.23% respectively).
