Top 10 States/UTs in the Coconut Production during 2014-15

The coconut production in India was 20439.61 million nuts in 2014-15. It decreased by -1225.58 million nuts as compared to the coconut production of 21665.19 million nuts in the year 2013-14. Thus, the annual decrease recorded in the year 2014-15 was -5.66%. The top 10 States/UTs in the coconut production were: Tamil Nadu, Karnataka, Kerala, Andhra Pradesh, West Bengal, Odisha, Gujarat, Assam, Maharashtra and Bihar in 2014-15.

The coconut production in Tamil Nadu was 6917.46 million nuts in 2014-15. It increased by 0.21 million nuts as compared to the coconut production of 6917.25 million nuts in the year 2013-14. Thus, the annual growth recorded in the year 2014-15 was merely 0.003%.

The coconut production in Karnataka was 5141.15 million nuts in 2014-15. It increased by 100 million nuts as compared to the coconut production of 5041.15 million nuts in the year 2013-14. Thus, the annual growth recorded in the year 2014-15 was 1.98%. The coconut production in Kerala was 4896.61 million nuts in 2014-15. It decreased by -1071.4 million nuts as compared to the coconut production of 5968.01 million nuts in the year 2013-14. Thus, the annual decrease recorded in the year 2014-15 was -17.95%.

The coconut production in Andhra Pradesh was 1463.56 million nuts in 2014-15. It decreased by -364.9 million nuts as compared to the coconut production of 1828.46 million nuts in the year 2013-14. Thus, the annual decrease recorded in the year 2014-15 was -19.96%. The coconut production in West Bengal was 372.23 million nuts in 2014-15. It increased by 1.4 million nuts as compared to the coconut production of 370.83 million nuts in the year 2013-14. Thus, the annual growth recorded in the year 2014-15 was 0.38%.

The coconut production in Odisha was 324.89 million nuts in 2014-15. It decreased by -0.04 million nuts as compared to the year 2013-14. The coconut production in Gujarat was 295.03 million nuts in 2014-15. The coconut production in Gujarat was similar in the year 2013-14. The coconut production in Assam was 237.49 million nuts in 2014-15. It increased by 100.88 million nuts as compared to the year 2013-14.

The coconut production in Maharashtra was 187.44 million nuts in 2014-15. It decreased by -0.03 million nuts as compared to the year 2013-14. The coconut production in Bihar was 141.38 million nuts in 2014-15. It decreased by -0.04 million nuts as compared to the year 2013-14.
