Top 10 States/UTs in terms of Scheduled Castes benefited under Pradhan Mantri Mudra Yojana during 2015-16 & 2016-17

In India there were 3873529 Scheduled Castes benefited (number of accounts opened) under Pradhan Mantri Mudra Yojana (PMMY) during 2016-17 as on Nov.25, 2016. The amount disbursed to these Scheduled Castes during the same time period under PMMY was Rs. 8535.41 Crores. The top 10 States/UTs in terms of number of Scheduled Castes benefited under PMMY during 2016-17 as on Nov.25, 2016 were: Tamil Nadu, Uttar Pradesh, Karnataka, Maharashtra, West Bengal, Madhya Pradesh, Odisha, Punjab, Haryana and Bihar.

Out of the above said top 10 States/UTs, top 5 states were Tamil Nadu, Uttar Pradesh, Karnataka, Maharashtra and West Bengal; which benefited (number of accounts opened) 662663, 558557, 331241, 338826 and 346070 of Scheduled Castes respectively under PMMY. Under PMMY these 5 states Tamil Nadu, Uttar Pradesh, Karnataka, Maharashtra and West Bengal disbursed Rs. 1322.89 Crores, Rs. 1089.93 Crores, Rs. 919.81 Crores, Rs. 811.88 Crores and Rs. 665.03 Crores respectively to Scheduled Castes.

These top 5 states accounted for 57.76% of the total number of Scheduled Castes benefited (number of accounts opened) under PMMY in India as a whole during 2016-17 as on Nov.25, 2016.

Out of the above said top 10 States/UTs, bottom 5 states were Madhya Pradesh, Odisha, Punjab, Haryana and Bihar; which benefited (number of accounts opened) 259973, 244589, 193379, 181342 and 218260 of Scheduled Castes respectively under PMMY. Under PMMY these 5 states Madhya Pradesh, Odisha, Punjab, Haryana and Bihar disbursed Rs. 570.49 Crores, Rs. 457.34 Crores, Rs. 449.55 Crores, Rs. 412.86 Crores and Rs. 366.38 Crores respectively to Scheduled Castes.

The above mentioned top 10 states accounted for 86.09% of the total number of Scheduled Castes benefited (number of accounts opened) under PMMY in India as a whole during 2016-17 as on Nov.25, 2016.
