The dropout rate of boys at primary level in Nagaland in 2010-11 was 5.87%.The dropout rate of boys at primary level in Nagaland in 2014-15 was 19.09%. Thus, it increased by 13.22 percentage points as compared to 2010-11. Nagaland was at the top in terms of the dropout rate amongst the various States/UTs in India in 2014-15.
The dropout rate of boys at primary level in Manipur in 2010-11 was 8.8%.The dropout rate of boys at primary level in Manipur in 2014-15 was 17.27%. Thus, it increased by 8.47 percentage points as compared to 2010-11. The dropout rate of boys at primary level in Mizoram in 2010-11 was 10.42%.The dropout rate of boys at primary level in Mizoram in 2014-15 was 12.57%. Thus, it increased by 2.15 percentage points as compared to 2010-11.
The dropout rate of boys at primary level in Arunachal Pradesh in 2010-11 was 19.05%.The dropout rate of boys at primary level in Arunachal Pradesh in 2014-15 was 11.54%. Thus, it decreased by -7.51 percentage points as compared to 2010-11. Thus, it decreased by -2.2 percentage points as compared to 2010-11.
As revealed by the foregone analysis, it is evident that each of the top 5 spots in terms of the dropout rate of boys at primary level in 2014-15 was occupied by the North Eastern states. Therefore, it can be said that North-Eastern India has become a cause of apprehension as far as the socio-economic indicator of dropout rate at primary level is concerned. The only ameliorative feature was that it declined in case of Arunachal Pradesh and Meghalaya during the period from 2010-11 to 2014-15.
The dropout rate of boys at primary level in Madhya Pradesh in 2010-11 was 9.48%.The dropout rate of boys at primary level in Madhya Pradesh in 2014-15 was 9.91%. Thus, it increased by 0.43 percentage points as compared to 2010-11. The dropout rate of boys at primary level in Assam in 2010-11 was 9.3%.The dropout rate of boys at primary level in Assam in 2014-15 was 8.19%. Thus, it decreased by -1.11 percentage points as compared to 2010-11. The dropout rate of boys at primary level in Uttar Pradesh in 2010-11 was 11.67%.The dropout rate of boys at primary level in Uttar Pradesh in 2014-15 was 7.91%. Thus, it decreased by -3.76 percentage points as compared to 2010-11.

Thus, it decreased by -3.13 percentage points as compared to 2010-11. The dropout rate of boys at primary level in Jharkhand in 2010-11 was 10.86%.The dropout rate of boys at primary level in Jharkhand in 2014-15 was 6.89%. Thus, it decreased by -3.97 percentage points as compared to 2010-11.
