Top 10 States/UTs in Consumer Price Index (CPI) as of November 2016

Consumer Price Index (CPI) measures changes over time in general level of prices of goods and services that households acquire for the purpose of consumption. For construction of CPI numbers, two requisite components are weighing diagrams (consumption patterns) and price data collected at regular intervals. The data refers to State/UT wise Consumer Price Index with base year 2012 =100.

CPI for Daman and Diu was 139.6 in November 2016. It increased from 135.8 in January 2016, exhibiting an increase of 3.8 points in CPI during the period from January 2016 to November 2016.

CPI for Tripura was 138.6 in November 2016. It increased from 132.6 in January 2016, exhibiting an increase of 6 points in CPI during the period from January 2016 to November 2016. CPI for Sikkim was 138.4 in November 2016. It increased from 131.6 in January 2016, exhibiting an increase of 6.8 points in CPI during the period from January 2016 to November 2016.

CPI for Nagaland was 137 in November 2016. It increased from 130.3 in January 2016, exhibiting an increase of 6.7 points in CPI during the period from January 2016 to November 2016. CPI for Orissa was 135.3 in November 2016. It increased from 129.9 in January 2016, exhibiting an increase of 5.4 points in CPI during the period from January 2016 to November 2016.

Andhra Pradesh had CPI of 134.7 in November 2016, showing an increase of 3.3 points in CPI over January 2016. Karnataka had CPI of 134.5 in November 2016, showing an increase of 2.7 points in CPI over January 2016. Bihar had CPI of 134.2 in November 2016, showing an increase of 5 points in CPI over January 2016.

Jharkhand had CPI of 134.2 in November 2016, showing an increase of 7.7 points in CPI over January 2016. Chhattisgarh had CPI of 134 in November 2016, showing an increase of 2.7 points in CPI over January 2016.
