The top 10 States/UTs in budgetary allocation to support research and development under crop improvement in Crop Science and Horticulture Science in 2015-16 were: Uttar Pradesh, Delhi, Karnataka, Telangana, Rajasthan, Odisha, Madhya Pradesh, Kerala, Maharashtra and Haryana.
The budgetary allocation to support research and development in Crop Science and Horticulture Science in Uttar Pradesh was Rs. 13173.99 lakhs in 2015-16. It increased by Rs. 965.32 lakhs (7.91%) as compared to the year 2014-15.
The budgetary allocation to support research and development in Crop Science and Horticulture Science in Delhi was Rs. 10777 lakhs in 2015-16. It increased by Rs. 3725.72 lakhs (52.84%) as compared to the year 2014-15. The budgetary allocation to support research and development in Crop Science and Horticulture Science in Karnataka was Rs. 6489.5 lakhs in 2015-16. It increased by Rs. 1963.13 lakhs (43.37%) as compared to the year 2014-15.
