The top 10 states with respect to candidates placed under Pt.Deen Dayal Upadhyaya Grameen Kaushalya Yojana (DDU-GKY) during 2018-19 (till December 2018) were Odisha, Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, Kerala, Assam, Bihar, Karnataka, Haryana, Uttar Pradesh and Rajasthan.
We have seen annual growth of 68.7% in candidates placed under DDU-GKY in Odisha during 2018-19 in comparison to -69.3% during 2017-18. The number of candidates placed under DDU-GKY in Odisha was 18001, 45726, 14035 and 23672 during 2015-16 to 2018-19 respectively. Odisha accounted for 22.53% of the total candidates placed under DDU-GKY during the same year (2018-19). There were 21620 candidates placed under DDU-GKY in Andhra Pradesh during 2018-19, which accounted 20.58% of the total candidates placed under DDU-GKY during the same year. Annual growth of 97.4% has been observed in number of candidates placed under DDU-GKY in Andhra Pradesh during 2018-19 above 2017-18 from 10954 candidates.
The number of candidates placed under DDU-GKY in Telangana was 1830 during 2015-16. It has increased by 4 times to 9150 candidates in 2016-17 above 2015-16. The number of candidates placed under DDU-GKY in Telangana was 13123 during 2018-19, up by 45% versus 9048 during 2017-18. Telangana accounted for 12.49% of the total candidates placed under DDU-GKY during the same year (2018-19). There were 7534 and 5257 candidates placed under DDU-GKY in Kerala and Assam respectively during 2018-19. Kerala accounted for 7.17% and Assam accounted for 5% of the total candidates placed under DDU-GKY during the same year (2018-19). We have found annual growth of 80.5% and 51.8% in candidates placed under DDU-GKY in Kerala and Assam respectively during 2018-19 in comparison to 2017-18.
The number of candidates placed under DDU-GKY in Bihar, Karnataka, Haryana, Uttar Pradesh and Rajasthan was 5019, 4148, 4065, 2973 and 2782 respectively during 2018-19. Annual growth of 3.3%, -12.7%, -30.3%, 233.3% and 301.4% has been observed in number of candidates placed under DDU-GKY in Bihar, Karnataka, Haryana, Uttar Pradesh and Rajasthan respectively during 2018-19 above 2017-18.
