As on 31st March 2019, there were 192 (79.34%) radiographers in position at community health centres (CHCs) in urban areas in India against 242 radiographers sanctioned. The top 10 States/UTs with respect to radiographers in position at CHCs in urban areas as on 31/03/2019 were Maharashtra, Andhra Pradesh, Rajasthan, West Bengal, Madhya Pradesh, Punjab, Telangana, Delhi, Chandigarh and Haryana.
The number of radiographers in position at CHCs in urban areas in Maharashtra was 51 (86.44%) as on 31st March 2019 in comparison to sanctioned strength of 59 radiographers. There were 28 (52.83%) radiographers in position at CHCs in urban areas in Andhra Pradesh versus 53 radiographers sanctioned as on 31.03.2019. The number of radiographers in position at CHCs in urban areas in Rajasthan was 23 (65.71%) as on 31/03/2019 against sanctioned strength of 35 radiographers. Maharashtra, Andhra Pradesh and Rajasthan accounted for 26.56%, 14.58% and 11.98% respectively of the total radiographers in position at CHCs in urban areas in India as on 31.03.2019.
There were 22 and 20 radiographers in position at CHCs in urban areas in West Bengal and Madhya Pradesh respectively as on 31st March 2019. West Bengal accounted for 11.46% and Madhya Pradesh accounted for 10.42% of the total radiographers in position at CHCs in urban areas in India as on 31/03/2019.
As on 31st March 2019, the number of radiographers in position at CHCs in urban areas in Punjab, Telangana, Delhi, Chandigarh and Haryana was 16, 10, 5, 4 and 3 respectively.
