Top 10 States/UTs with respect to Pharmacists in Position at CHCs in Urban Areas As on 31st March 2019

As on 31st March 2019, there were 468 pharmacists in position at Community Health Centres (CHCs) in urban areas in India. The top 10 States/UTs with respect to pharmacists in position at CHCs in urban areas as on 31/03/2019 were Maharashtra, Punjab, Andhra Pradesh, Haryana, Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh, Kerala, West Bengal, Odisha and Chandigarh.

The number of pharmacists in position was 166 at CHCs in urban areas in Maharashtra as on 31st March 2019, which accounted 35.47% of the total pharmacists in position at CHCs in urban areas in India. There were 67 pharmacists in position in Punjab at CHCs in urban areas as on 31st March 2019. It accounted 14.32% of the total pharmacists in position at CHCs in urban areas in India as on the same period. The number of pharmacists in position was 50 at CHCs in urban areas in Andhra Pradesh as on 31st March 2019, which accounted 10.68% of the total pharmacists in position at CHCs in urban areas in India.

There were 25 and 22 pharmacists in position at CHCs in urban areas in Haryana and Rajasthan respectively as on 31st March 2019. Haryana accounted for 5.34% and Rajasthan accounted for 4.7% of the total pharmacists in position at CHCs in urban areas in India as on 31.03.2019.

As on 31st March 2019, number of pharmacists in position was 20, 18, 18, 13 and 12 at CHCs in urban areas in Madhya Pradesh, Kerala, West Bengal, Odisha and Chandigarh respectively.
