There was construction of 96,848,153 Individual Household Latrines (IHHLs) in India under Swachh Bharat Mission – Gramin (SBM-G) during 02nd October 2014 to 17th July 2019. The top 10 States/UTs with respect to IHHLs constructed under SBM-G during 02nd Oct 2014 to 17th Jul 2019 were Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh, West Bengal, Odisha, Maharashtra, Tamil Nadu, Karnataka and Andhra Pradesh.
The number of IHHLs constructed in Uttar Pradesh was 19,168,197 under SBM-G during 02nd Oct 2014 to 17th Jul 2019, which accounted 19.79% of the total IHHLs constructed under SBM-G in India. There was construction of 11,199,505 IHHLs in Bihar under SBM-G during 02-10-2014 to 17-07-2019. It accounted 11.56% of the total IHHLs constructed under SBM-G in India during the same period. The number of IHHLs constructed in Rajasthan was 7,805,400 under SBM-G during 02nd October 2014 to 17th July 2019, which accounted 8.06% of the total IHHLs constructed under SBM-G in India.
There was construction of 6,472,785 and 6,152,235 IHHLs under SBM-G in Madhya Pradesh and West Bengal respectively during 02nd October 2014 to 17th July 2019. Madhya Pradesh accounted for 6.68% and West Bengal accounted for 6.35% of the total IHHLs constructed under SBM-G in India during 02-10-2014 to 17-07-2019.
The number of IHHLs constructed in Odisha, Maharashtra, Tamil Nadu, Karnataka and Andhra Pradesh was 6,109,324, 5,921,992, 5,184,684, 4,260,803 and 3,961,474 respectively under SBM-G during 02nd October 2014 to 17th July 2019. These aforementioned top 10 states accounted for 78.72% of the total IHHLs constructed under SBM-G in India as a whole during 02nd Oct 2014 to 17th Jul 2019.
