Top 10 States/UTs with respect to Funds Sanctioned/Released under Pradhan Mantri Matru Vandana Yojana during 2018-19

Funds sanctioned/released under Pradhan Mantri Matru Vandana Yojana (PMMVY) in India was Rs. 204859.26 lakh and Rs. 104955.77 lakh during 2017-18 and 2018-19 respectively. The top 10 States/UTs with respect to funds sanctioned/released under PMMVY during 2018-19 were Madhya Pradesh, Uttar Pradesh, Andhra Pradesh, Maharashtra, Rajasthan, Karnataka, Gujarat, Haryana, Kerala and West Bengal.

The amount sanctioned/released for Madhya Pradesh under PMMVY was Rs. 18581.47 lakh during 2018-19, up by 50.82% against Rs. 12320.53 lakh during 2017-18. We have observed annual decline of -57.71% in amount sanctioned/released for Uttar Pradesh under PMMVY to Rs. 14216.71 lakh during 2018-19 from Rs. 33616.64 lakh during 2017-18. Fund sanctioned/released for Andhra Pradesh under PMMVY was Rs. 7022.36 lakh in 2017-18. It has increased by 100.81% to Rs. 14101.75 lakh during 2018-19 above 2017-18. Madhya Pradesh, Uttar Pradesh and Andhra Pradesh accounted for 17.7%, 13.55% and 13.44% respectively of the total fund sanctioned/released under PMMVY in India during 2018-19.

During 2018-19, fund sanctioned/released under PMMVY was Rs. 11795.62 lakh and Rs. 9605.43 lakh for Maharashtra and Rajasthan respectively. Maharashtra accounted for 11.24% and Rajasthan accounted for 9.15% of the total fund sanctioned/released under PMMVY in India during 2018-19.

Fund sanctioned/released for Karnataka, Gujarat, Haryana, Kerala and West Bengal was Rs. 6361.72, 5958.97, 3674.84, 3514.27 and 2938.72 lakh respectively under PMMVY during 2018-19.
