Top 10 States/UTs with respect to Funds Released under Swadhar Greh Scheme during 2018-19

The Ministry of Women and Child Development implements Swadhar Greh scheme which envisions a supportive institutional framework for women victims of difficult circumstances so that they could lead their life with dignity and conviction. The top 10 States/UTs with respect to funds released under Swadhar Greh scheme during 2018-19 were Odisha, Tamil Nadu, Manipur, Karnataka, Assam, Telangana, Mizoram, Kerala, Uttar Pradesh and Tripura.

The amount released for Odisha was Rs. 521.43 lakh under Swadhar Greh scheme in 2017-18. It has tanked by -9.22% to Rs. 473.33 lakh during 2018-19 above 2017-18. We have observed annual growth of 56.7% in release of funds to Tamil Nadu under Swadhar Greh scheme from Rs. 280.07 lakh during 2017-18 to Rs. 438.87 lakh during 2018-19. The funds released under Swadhar Greh scheme was Rs. 424.3 lakh for Manipur during 2018-19, up by 123.52% against Rs. 189.83 lakh during 2017-18.

There was release of Rs. 285.03 lakh for Karnataka and Rs. 152.6 lakh for Assam under Swadhar Greh scheme during 2018-19. Annual decline of -49.17% and -22.55% has been seen in release of funds under Swadhar Greh scheme for Karnataka and Assam respectively during 2018-19 over 2017-18.

During 2018-19, the funds released under Swadhar Greh scheme was Rs. 133.91, 81.08, 69.59, 55.46 and 46.23 lakh for Telangana, Mizoram, Kerala, Uttar Pradesh and Tripura respectively.
