Total allocation of central fund was Rs. 2,495,516.33 lakh in India under Pradhan Mantri Awaas Yojana-Gramin (PMAY-G) during 2017-18, down by -27.69% against Rs. 3,451,269.416 lakh during 2016-17. The top 10 States/UTs with respect to funds allocated under PMAY-G during 2017-18 were Bihar, Uttar Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh, West Bengal, Orissa, Rajasthan, Chattisgarh, Jharkhand, Maharashtra and Tamil Nadu.
Allocation of central fund was Rs. 477,477.968 lakh for Bihar under PMAY-G during 2016-17. It has declined by -13.48% to Rs. 413,112.96 lakh during 2017-18 above 2016-17. We have observed annual de-growth of -30.69% in allocation of central fund for Uttar Pradesh under PMAY-G from Rs. 430,753.033 lakh during 2016-17 to Rs. 298,544.56 lakh during 2017-18. The fund allocated for Madhya Pradesh was Rs. 296,389.39 lakh under PMAY-G during 2017-18, down by -13.48% versus Rs. 342,581.68 lakh during 2016-17. Bihar, Uttar Pradesh and Madhya Pradesh accounted for 16.55%, 11.96% and 11.88% respectively of the total central fund allocated in India under PMAY-G during 2017-18.
There was allocation of Rs. 280,522.2 lakh and Rs. 269,164.02 lakh for West Bengal and Orissa respectively under PMAY-G during 2017-18. West Bengal accounted for 11.24% and Orissa accounted for 10.79% of the total central fund allocated in India under PMAY-G during 2017-18.
The central allocation under PMAY-G was Rs. 167,453.4, 158,566.7, 124,547.28, 113,019.38 and 97,504.24 lakh for Rajasthan, Chattisgarh, Jharkhand, Maharashtra and Tamil Nadu respectively during 2017-18.
