As on 02nd March 2020, there was central release of Rs. 498,958.69 lakh under the Pradhan Mantri Matru Vandana Yojana (PMMVY) in India. The top 10 States/UTs with respect to central funds released under PMMVY as on 02/03/2020 were Uttar Pradesh, Lakshadweep, Madhya Pradesh, Andhra Pradesh, Rajasthan, Jharkhand, Bihar, Goa, Assam and West Bengal.
The amount of Rs. 81,990.94 lakh was released under PMMVY for Uttar Pradesh as on 02nd Mar 2020, which accounted 16.43% of the total amount released under PMMVY in India. There was central release of Rs. 54,958.41 lakh under PMMVY for Lakshadweep as on 02.03.2020. It accounted 11.01% of the total amount released under PMMVY in India as on the same period. The amount of Rs. 49,806.5 lakh was released under PMMVY for Madhya Pradesh as on 02/03/2020, which accounted 9.98% of the total amount released under PMMVY in India.
There was central release of Rs. 31,249.11 lakh and Rs. 30,744.11 lakh for Andhra Pradesh and Rajasthan respectively under PMMVY as on 02nd Mar 2020. Andhra Pradesh accounted for 6.26% and Rajasthan accounted for 6.16% of the total amount released under PMMVY in India as on 02.03.2020.
As on 02nd March 2020, the amount of Rs. 26,606.93, 25,458.5, 24,478.32, 22,361.3 and 21,952.51 lakh was released under PMMVY for Jharkhand, Bihar, Goa, Assam and West Bengal respectively.
