Total release of central fund was Rs. 29,33,105.72 lakh in India under Pradhan Mantri Awaas Yojana-Gramin (PMAY-G) during 2018-19, down by -1.87% against Rs. 29,88,986.14 lakh during 2017-18. The top 10 States/UTs with respect to central funds released under PMAY-G during 2018-19 were Bihar, West Bengal, Madhya Pradesh, Odisha, Uttar Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, Rajasthan, Jharkhand, Maharashtra and Gujarat.
Release of central fund was Rs. 60,257.06 lakh for Bihar under PMAY-G during 2017-18. It has increased by 638.39% to Rs. 4,44,931.91 lakh during 2018-19 above 2017-18. We have observed annual growth of -4.03% in release of central fund for West Bengal under PMAY-G from Rs. 4,55,666.02 lakh during 2017-18 to Rs. 4,37,284.79 lakh during 2018-19. The fund released for Madhya Pradesh was Rs. 4,25,042.66 lakh under PMAY-G during 2018-19, down by -12.83% versus Rs. 4,87,626.83 lakh during 2017-18. Bihar, West Bengal and Madhya Pradesh accounted for 15.17%, 14.91% and 14.49% respectively of the total central fund released in India under PMAY-G during 2018-19.
There was release of Rs. 3,29,032.43 lakh and Rs. 2,77,585.81 lakh for Odisha and Uttar Pradesh respectively under PMAY-G during 2018-19. Odisha accounted for 11.22% and Uttar Pradesh accounted for 9.46% of the total central fund released in India under PMAY-G during 2018-19.
The central fund released under PMAY-G was Rs. 2,63,695.44, 2,34,013.32, 1,73,352.48, 1,13,552.93 and 68,219.85 lakh for Chattisgarh, Rajasthan, Jharkhand, Maharashtra and Gujarat respectively during 2018-19.
