Top 10 States/UTs with respect to Central Fund Released under Pradhan Mantri Awaas Yojana-Gramin during 2017-18

Total release of central fund was Rs. 2,988,986.138 lakh in India under Pradhan Mantri Awaas Yojana-Gramin (PMAY-G) during 2017-18, up by 86.14% against Rs. 1,605,800.402 lakh during 2016-17. The top 10 States/UTs with respect to central funds released under PMAY-G during 2017-18 were Uttar Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh, West Bengal, Orissa, Chattisgarh, Rajasthan, Assam, Jharkhand, Maharashtra and Tamil Nadu.

Release of central fund was Rs. 223,980.445 lakh for Uttar Pradesh under PMAY-G during 2016-17. It has increased by 120.92% to Rs. 494,806.433 lakh during 2017-18 above 2016-17. We have observed annual growth of 186.65% in release of central fund for Madhya Pradesh under PMAY-G from Rs. 170,114.866 lakh during 2016-17 to Rs. 487,626.83 lakh during 2017-18. The fund released for West Bengal was Rs. 455,666.018 lakh under PMAY-G during 2017-18, up by 226.96% versus Rs. 139,363.741 lakh during 2016-17. Uttar Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh and West Bengal accounted for 16.55%, 16.31% and 15.24% respectively of the total central fund released in India under PMAY-G during 2017-18.

There was release of Rs. 312,405.903 lakh and Rs. 262,507.14 lakh for Orissa and Chattisgarh respectively under PMAY-G during 2017-18. Orissa accounted for 10.45% and Chattisgarh accounted for 8.78% of the total central fund released in India under PMAY-G during 2017-18.

The central fund released under PMAY-G was Rs. 189,566.23, 166,961.67, 162,629.855, 110,207.766 and 84,848.578 lakh for Rajasthan, Assam, Jharkhand, Maharashtra and Tamil Nadu respectively during 2017-18.
