Ayushman Bharat Yojana comprises two components namely (i) Provision of Comprehensive Primary Healthcare through Ayushman Bharat – Health and Wellness Centers (AB-HWC), and (ii) Ayushman Bharat – Pradhan Mantri Jan Arogya Yojana (AB-PMJAY). During 2019-20, there was central release of Rs. 1,250.47 crore in India under AB-HWC. The top 10 States/UTs with respect to central fund released under AB- HWC during 2019-20 were Uttar Pradesh, Maharashtra, Assam, Madhya Pradesh, Bihar, Rajasthan, Tamil Nadu, West Bengal, Orissa and Karnataka.
The central fund released for Uttar Pradesh was Rs. 195.82 crore under AB-HWC during 2019-20, which accounted 15.66% of the total central fund released under AB-HWC in India. There was central release of Rs. 97.64 crore for Maharashtra under AB-HWC during 2019-20. It accounted 7.81% of the total central fund released under AB-HWC in India during the same period. The central fund released for Assam was Rs. 97.6 crore under AB-HWC during 2019-20, which accounted 7.81% of the total central fund released under AB-HWC in India.
There was central release of Rs. 87.82 crore and Rs. 84.19 crore for Madhya Pradesh and Bihar respectively under AB-HWC during 2019-20. Madhya Pradesh accounted for 7.02% and Bihar accounted for 6.73% of the total central fund released under AB-HWC in India during 2019-20.
During 2019-20, the central fund released for Rajasthan, Tamil Nadu, West Bengal, Orissa and Karnataka was Rs. 68.64, 65.46, 61.55, 54.27 and 52.06 crore respectively under AB-HWC.
