Top 10 States/UTs-wise fund released under National Rural Drinking Water Programme (NRDWP) during 2017-18

The total fund released for States/UTs was Rs. 3875.93 crore under National Rural Drinking Water Programme (NRDWP) during 2017-18 (upto 27-12-2017). We have observed an annual growth of 39.1% in total fund released for States/UTs under NRDWP to Rs. 5931.9 crore during 2016-17 versus Rs. 4264.58 crore during 2015-16. The top 5 States/UTs in terms of fund released under NRDWP during 2017-18 (upto 27-12-2017) were West Bengal, Telangana, Bihar, Rajasthan and Uttar Pradesh.

The fund released for West Bengal was Rs. 737.29 crore under NRDWP during 2017-18 (upto 27-12-2017). It accounted 19.02% of the total fund released under NRDWP during 2017-18 (upto 27-12-2017). An annual growth of 67.51% has been seen in fund released for West Bengal under NRDWP from Rs. 440.15 crore during 2016-17 to Rs. 737.29 crore during 2017-18 (upto 27-12-2017). The total fund released for Telangana was Rs. 555.37 crore under NRDWP during 2017-18 (upto 27-12-2017). It accounted 14.33% of the total fund released under NRDWP during 2017-18 (upto 27-12-2017). An annual growth of 317.29% has been seen in fund released for Telangana under NRDWP from Rs. 133.09 crore during 2016-17 to Rs. 555.37 crore during 2017-18 (upto 27-12-2017).

The fund released for Bihar was Rs. 330.03 crore under NRDWP during 2017-18 (upto 27-12-2017), which accounted 7.74% of the total amount released under NRDWP during this period. The fund released for Rajasthan was Rs. 261.84 crore under NRDWP during 2017-18 (upto 27-12-2017), which accounted 6.76% of the total fund released under NRDWP during this period. The fund released for Uttar Pradesh was Rs. 234.14 crore under NRDWP during 2017-18 (upto 27-12-2017), which accounted 6.04% of the total fund released under NRDWP during this period.
