The top 10 States/UTs in terms of highest percentage of Indian railway routes electrified as on 1st April 2018 were Chandigarh, Delhi, Kerala, Odisha, Chattisgarh, Andhra Pradesh, Jharkhand, West Bengal, Telengana and Madhya Pradesh.
As on 1st April 2018, Chandigarh is the only State/UT which has been observed with 100% electrification of Indian railway routes with 16 kilometers. Delhi placed in the 2nd spot in terms of highest percentage of Indian railway routes electrified as on 1st April 2018. Electrification of Indian railway routes was 158 kilometers (86%), out of total 183 kilometers of railway routes in Delhi as on 01.04.2018. Kerala to be found in the 3rd position in terms of highest percentage of Indian railway routes electrified as on 1st April 2018. Out of the total 1045 kilometers of Indian railway routes in Kerala as on 01.04.2018, 855 kilometers (82%) was electrified.
Electrification of Indian railway routes in Odisha, Chattisgarh, Andhra Pradesh, Jharkhand, West Bengal, Telengana and Madhya Pradesh was 2033, 882, 2749, 1677, 2708, 1134 and 2681 kilometers respectively as on 1st April 2018. Indian railway routes electrified was 78%, 73%, 72%, 68%, 65%, 62% and 52% in Odisha, Chattisgarh, Andhra Pradesh, Jharkhand, West Bengal, Telengana and Madhya Pradesh respectively out of the total Indian railway routes in the respective States/UTs as on 01.04.2018.
