Top 10 States/UTs in terms of Amount released for Beneficiaries under Pradhan Mantri Jan Arogya Yojana as on 30th Nov 2018

As on 30th November 2018, amount released to the States/UTs for implementing Ayushman Bharat – Pradhan Mantri Jan Arogya Yojana (PMJAY) was Rs.798.34 crore; out of which Rs. 680.25 crore (85.2%) was for beneficiaries and Rs. 118.09 crore (14.8%) was for administrative expenses. The top 10 States/UTs with respect to amount released for beneficiaries under PMJAY as on 30.11.2018 were West Bengal, Bihar, Chhattisgarh, Gujarat, Jharkhand, Haryana, Uttar Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh, Assam and Tripura.

The amount of Rs. 176.56 crore was released for beneficiaries of West Bengal under PMJAY as on 30th Nov 2018, which accounted 25.96% of the total amount released for beneficiaries under PMJAY in India. There was grant-in-aid of Rs. 171.93 crore for beneficiaries of Bihar under PMJAY as on 30.11.2018. It accounted 25.27% of the total amount released for beneficiaries under PMJAY in India as on the same period. The amount of Rs. 108.84 crore was grant-in-aid for beneficiaries of Chhattisgarh under PMJAY as on 30.11.2018, which accounted 16% of the total amount released for beneficiaries under PMJAY in India.

As on 30th Nov 2018, there were grant-in-aid of Rs. 70.78 crore and Rs. 44.27 crore for beneficiaries of Gujarat and Jharkhand respectively under PMJAY. Gujarat accounted for 10.4% and Jharkhand accounted for 6.51% of the total amount released for beneficiaries under PMJAY in India as on 30.11.2018.

The amount released for beneficiaries of Haryana, Uttar Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh, Assam and Tripura was Rs. 24.49, 15, 15, 15 and 11.7 crore respectively under PMJAY as on 30th Nov 2018. These aforementioned top 10 States/UTs accounted for 96.08% of the total amount released for beneficiaries under PMJAY in India as a whole as on 30th November 2018.
