Top 10 States/UTs in terms of Allopathic Doctors in Position at PHCs in Tribal Area as on 31-03-2017

The top 10 States/UTs in terms of number of Allopathic Doctors in Position at Primary Health Centres (PHCs) in Tribal Areas as on 31st March 2017 were West Bengal, Rajasthan, Maharashtra, Gujarat, Odisha, Andhra Pradesh, Assam, Kerala, Madhya Pradesh and Telangana.

There were 765 Allopathic Doctors in Position at PHCs in Tribal Areas of West Bengal as on 31st March 2017. It accounted 16.84% of the total number of Allopathic Doctors in Position at PHCs in Tribal Areas of All the States and UTs as on 31-03-2017. There were 376 Allopathic Doctors in Position at PHCs in Tribal Areas of Rajasthan as on 31st March 2017. It accounted 8.28% of the total number of Allopathic Doctors in Position at PHCs in Tribal Areas of All the States and UTs as on 31-03-2017. There were 354 Allopathic Doctors in Position at PHCs in Tribal Areas of Maharashtra as on 31st March 2017. It accounted 7.79% of the total number of Allopathic Doctors in Position at PHCs in Tribal Areas of All the States and UTs as on 31-03-2017.

As on 31st March 2017, 347 Allopathic Doctors were there in Position at PHCs in Gujarat’s Tribal Areas; which accounted 7.64% of the total number of Allopathic Doctors in Position at PHCs in Tribal Areas of All the States and UTs. As on 31st March 2017, 335 Allopathic Doctors were there in Position at PHCs in Odisha’s Tribal Areas; which accounted 7.37% of the total number of Allopathic Doctors in Position at PHCs in Tribal Areas of All the States and UTs.

As on 31st March 2017, there were 259, 233, 229, 208 and 196 Allopathic Doctors in Position at Primary Health Centres in Tribal Areas of Andhra Pradesh, Assam, Kerala, Madhya Pradesh and Telangana respectively.

There are few States/UTs namely Haryana, Punjab, Chandigarh, Daman & Diu, Delhi and Puducherry which found with 0 (zero) Allopathic Doctors in Position at PHCs in Tribal Areas of the State/UT as on 31-03-2017.
