Top 10 States in terms of Projects under Watershed Development Component of Pradhan Mantri Krishi Sinchayee Yojana from 2014-15 to 2017-18

In total, there were 8214 Projects under Watershed Development Component (WDC) of Pradhan Mantri Krishi Sinchayee Yojana (PMKSY) during 2014-15 to 2017-18 (upto 30.11.2017) with sanctioned area of the projects of 39.07 million hectare. The top 10 States in terms of number of projects WDC of Pradhan Mantri Krishi PMKSY during 2014-15 to 2017-18 (upto 30.11.2017) were Maharashtra, Rajasthan, Uttar Pradesh, Gujarat, Karnataka, Madhya Pradesh, Andhra Pradesh, Assam, Telangana and Odisha.

There were 1186 projects during 2014-15 to 2017-18 in Maharashtra with sanctioned area of the projects of 5.128 million hectare. It accounted 14.44% of the total number of projects during 2014-15 to 2017-18. The number of projects was 1025 in Rajasthan during 2014-15 to 2017-18, which accounted 12.48% of the total number of projects. The sanctioned area of the projects was 5.764 million hectare in Rajasthan during 2014-15 to 2017-18. There were 612 projects during 2014-15 to 2017-18 in Uttar Pradesh with sanctioned area of the projects of 3.045 million hectare. It accounted 7.45% of the total number of projects under WDC of PMKSY during 2014-15 to 2017-18.

The number of projects was 610, 571, 517, 432, 372, 330 and 310 in Gujarat, Karnataka, Madhya Pradesh, Andhra Pradesh, Assam, Telangana and Odisha respectively during 2014-15 to 2017-18. The sanctioned area of the projects was 3.103, 2.569, 2.937, 1.81, 1.577, 1.399 and 1.7 million hectare in Gujarat, Karnataka, Madhya Pradesh, Andhra Pradesh, Assam, Telangana and Odisha respectively during 2014-15 to 2017-18.
