Top 10 States in Funds Released under Solar Pumping Programme in 2014-15

The fund released under solar pumping programme for irrigation and drinking water in all the states of India put together was 35349.28 lacs for the Financial Year 2014-15 as on 07.12.2015. The top 10 states in terms of the fund released under solar pumping programme were: Rajasthan, Maharashtra, Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, Chhattisgarh, Madhya Pradesh, Uttar Pradesh, Orissa, Gujarat and Punjab in for the Financial Year 2014-15.

The fund released under solar pumping programme in Rajasthan was Rs. 5642.18 lacs in 2014-15. It was 15.96% of the fund released to various states under solar pumping programme in India in 2014-15.The fund released under solar pumping programme in Maharashtra was Rs. 2908.9 lacs in 2014-15. It was 8.23% of the fund released under solar pumping programme in India in 2014-15. The fund released under solar pumping programme in Andhra Pradesh was Rs. 2422.35 lacs in 2014-15. It was 6.85% of the fund released under solar pumping programme in India in 2014-15. The fund released under solar pumping programme in Telangana was Rs. 1605.8 lacs in 2014-15. It was 4.54% of the fund released under solar pumping programme in India in 2014-15. The fund released under solar pumping programme in Chhattisgarh was Rs. 1519.6 lacs in 2014-15. It was 4.3% of the fund released under solar pumping programme in India in 2014-15. These top 5 states accounted for 39.88% of the total fund released to various states under solar pumping programme in India as a whole in 2014-15.

The fund released under solar pumping programme in Madhya Pradesh was Rs. 1445.65 lacs in 2014-15 (4.09% of All India). The fund released under solar pumping programme in Uttar Pradesh was Rs. 1394 lacs in 2014-15 (3.94% of All India). The fund released under solar pumping programme in Orissa was Rs. 1308 lacs in 2014-15 (3.7% of All India). The fund released under solar pumping programme in Gujarat was Rs. 1217 lacs in 2014-15 (3.44% of All India). The fund released under solar pumping programme in Punjab was Rs. 762 lacs in 2014-15 (2.16% of All India).

The above mentioned top 10 states accounted for 57.21% of the total fund released to various states under solar pumping programme in India as a whole in 2014-15.
