Top 10 State-wise Dropout Rate at Primary level during 2014-15

The dropout rate at primary schools in Assam in 2013-14 was 7.44%. The dropout rate at primary schools in Assam in 2014-15 was 15.36%. Thus, it increased by 7.92 percentage points as compared to 2013-14. Assam was at the top in terms of the dropout rate amongst the various States/UTs in India in 2014-15.

The dropout rate at primary schools in Arunachal Pradesh in 2013-14 was 10.89%. The dropout rate at primary schools in Arunachal Pradesh in 2014-15 was 10.82%. Thus, it decreased by -0.07 percentage points as compared to 2013-14. The dropout rate at primary schools in Mizoram in 2013-14 was 12.96%. The dropout rate at primary schools in Mizoram in 2014-15 was 10.1%. Thus, it decreased by -2.86 percentage points as compared to 2013-14.

The dropout rate at primary schools in Manipur in 2013-14 was 18%. The dropout rate at primary schools in Manipur in 2014-15 was 9.66%. Thus, it decreased by -8.34 percentage points as compared to 2013-14. The dropout rate at primary schools in Meghalaya in 2013-14 was 10.34%.
