Top 10 Sectors in FDI Equity Inflow during April, 2015 to February, 2016

The amount of FDI Equity Inflow in All Sectors was US$ 37534.55 million during April, 2015 to February, 2016. The top 10 sectors in terms of the amount of FDI Equity Inflow were: Services Sector, Computer Software and Hardware, Construction (Infrastructure) Activities, Trading, Automobile Industry, Chemicals (other than Fertilizers), Hotel and Tourism, Telecommunications, Information and Broadcasting (including Print Media) and Drugs and Pharmaceuticals during April, 2015 to February, 2016.

The amount of FDI Equity Inflow in Services Sector was US$ 5952.71 million during April, 2015 to February, 2016. It accounted for 15.86% of the amount of FDI Equity Inflow in India during April, 2015 to February, 2016. The amount of FDI Equity Inflow in Computer Software and Hardware was US$ 5837.56 million during April, 2015 to February, 2016. It accounted for 15.55% of the amount of FDI Equity Inflow in India during April, 2015 to February, 2016. The amount of FDI Equity Inflow in Construction (Infrastructure) Activities was US$ 4381.99 million during April, 2015 to February, 2016. It accounted for 11.67% of the amount of FDI Equity Inflow in India during April, 2015 to February, 2016.

The amount of FDI Equity Inflow in Trading was US$ 3675.89 million during April, 2015 to February, 2016. It accounted for 9.79% of the amount of FDI Equity Inflow in India during April, 2015 to February, 2016. The amount of FDI Equity Inflow in Automobile Industry was US$ 2441.44 million during April, 2015 to February, 2016. It accounted for 6.5% of the amount of FDI Equity Inflow in India during April, 2015 to February, 2016.

These top 5 sectors accounted for 59.37% of the total amount of FDI Equity Inflow in India as a whole during April, 2015 to February, 2016.

The amount of FDI Equity Inflow in Chemicals (other than Fertilizers) was US$ 1441.04 million during April, 2015 to February, 2016 (3.84% of All India). The amount of FDI Equity Inflow in Hotel and Tourism was US$ 1284.78 million during April, 2015 to February, 2016 (3.42% of All India). The amount of FDI Equity Inflow in Telecommunications was US$ 1195.68 million during April, 2015 to February, 2016 (3.19% of All India). The amount of FDI Equity Inflow in Information and Broadcasting (including Print Media) was US$ 995.21 million during April, 2015 to February, 2016 (2.65% of All India). The amount of FDI Equity Inflow in Drugs and Pharmaceuticals was US$ 738.39 million during April, 2015 to February, 2016 (1.97% of All India).

The above mentioned top 10 sectors accounted for 74.44% of the total amount of FDI Equity Inflow in India as a whole during April, 2015 to February, 2016.
