Top 10 Public/Private Sector Banks with respect to Percentage of Gross Non-Performing Assets as on 31st Dec 2016

The top 10 Public/Private Sector Banks with respect to maximum percentage of Gross Non-Performing Assets (NPAs) as on 31st December 2016 were Indian Overseas Bank, UCO Bank, State Bank of Patiala, United Bank of India, Bank of India, Punjab National Bank, IDBI Bank Limited, Bank of Maharashtra, State Bank of Hyderabad and Dena Bank.

Indian Overseas Bank has been placed with highest percentage of Gross NPAs, i.e., 21.98% as on 31st Dec 2016. Total Advances of Indian Overseas Bank was Rs. 141895 crore as on 31st Dec 2016, out of which Rs. 31189 crore was Gross NPAs. As on 31st Dec 2016, UCO Bank’s Gross NPAs was Rs. 21323 crore (19.37%) out of Total Advances of Rs. 110101 crore. State Bank of Patiala has been observed with 19.33% as Gross NPAs as on 31st Dec 2016. Total Advances of State Bank of Patiala was Rs. 77700 crore as on 31st Dec 2016, out of which Rs. 15019 crore was Gross NPAs.

As on 31st Dec 2016, Total Advances of United Bank of India and Bank of India was Rs. 67867 crore and Rs. 276250 crore respectively. United Bank of India has been found with 15.98% (Rs. 10847 crore) and Bank of India with 15.59% (Rs. 43080 crore) as Gross NPAs as on 31st Dec 2016.

Punjab National Bank, IDBI Bank Limited, Bank of Maharashtra, State Bank of Hyderabad and Dena Bank has been seen with 15.46%, 15.24%, 15.08%, 14.74% and 14.66% respectively as Gross NPAs as on 31st Dec 2016.
