Top 10 Ports with highest Import of Chemical Fertilizers (MOP) in July 2014

During the month of July 2014, India imported total 4.87 lakh metric tonnes quantity of chemical fertilizers (MOP). Muriate of potash (MOP) is most commonly called potash or potassium chloride (KCL) and can be applied as a straight fertiliser or as part of a blended or compound fertiliser with nitrogen and phosphorous.

Top 10 ports of India in terms of highest quantity of import of chemical fertilizers (MOP) are: Kandla with import of 1.31 lakh metric tonne ( 26.9% of the total import of MOP in India in July 2014 equivalent to 4.87 lakh metric tonnes); Kakinada with import of 0.78 lakh metric tonne ( 16.02% of the total import of MOP in India in July 2014); Tuticorin with import of 0.62 lakh metric tonne ( 12.73% of the total import of MOP in India in July 2014); Paradip with import of 0.58 lakh metric tonne ( 11.91% of the total import of MOP in India in July 2014); Gangavaram with import of 0.48 lakh metric tonne ( 9.86% of the total import of MOP in India in July 2014); Vizag with import of 0.43 lakh metric tonne ( 8.83% of the total import of MOP in India in July 2014); Karaikal with import of 0.23 lakh metric tonne ( 4.72% of the total import of MOP in India in July 2014); Haldia with import of 0.19 lakh metric tonne ( 3.9% of the total import of MOP in India in July 2014); Mormugao with import of 0.15 lakh metric tonne ( 3.08% of the total import of MOP in India in July 2014) and New-Mangalore with import of 0.1 lakh metric tonne ( 2.05% of the total import of MOP in India in July 2014).
