Top 10 Pay News Channels as per Advertisements per hour during peak hours from 28.09.15 to 27.12.15

There were 28 pay news channels which were carrying more than 12 minutes average duration per hour of advertisements in India during peak hours i.e. 7:00PM to 10:00PM for the period 28 September 2015 to 27 December 2015.

The top 10 pay news channels in terms of average duration per hour of advertisements in India during peak hours i.e. 7:00PM to 10:00PM for the period 28 September 2015 to 27 December 2015 were: NDTV 24×7, ETV Kannada, ETV M.P., IBN Lokmat, ZEE Business, ETV Gujarati, Times Now, ETV Bihar, ZEE Kannada and ETV Haryana/HP.

Out of the top 10 pay news channels in terms of average duration per hour of advertisements in India during peak hours i.e. 7:00PM to 10:00PM for the period 28 September 2015 to 27 December 2015, there were four pay news channels which were airing more than 20 minutes average duration per hour of advertisements viz. NDTV 24×7, ETV Kannada, ETV M.P. and IBN Lokmat. In other words, the viewers of these channels had to see advertisements for more than half the time of seeing the main content or programme i.e. more than 20 minutes of advertisement for less than 40 minutes of main program or content in each hour.

NDTV 24×7 pay news channel of the broadcaster New Delhi Television Limited, was carrying more than 22 minutes average duration per hour of advertisements during peak hours i.e. 7:00PM to 10:00PM for the period 28 September 2015 to 27 December 2015. It was at the top amongst all the pay news channels in India in airing of advertisements.

Out of the top 10 pay news channels in terms of average duration per hour of advertisements in India during peak hours i.e. 7:00PM to 10:00PM for the period 28 September 2015 to 27 December 2015, there were five pay news channels which belonged to one broadcaster namely Panorama Television Private Limited viz.ETV Kannada, ETV M.P., ETV Gujarati, ETV Bihar and ETV Harayana/ HP.

The average duration per hour of advertisements of some of the popular pay news channels were as follows (in minutes): ZEE NEWS (14.96), DILLI AAJTAK (13.78), TEZ (13.47), CNN-IBN (13.3) and AAJ TAK (12.97).
