Top 10 Languages as per Circulation of Registered Daily Newspapers in 2013-14

The circulation of Hindi Dailies was 104682 thousands in 2012-13. Their circulation increased to 126478 thousands in 2013-14, recording a growth of 21796 thousands as compared to 2012-13. In percentage terms, the annual growth rate was 20.82%. The circulation of English Dailies was 27938 thousands in 2012-13. Their circulation increased to 33149 thousands in 2013-14, recording a growth of 5211 thousands as compared to 2012-13. In percentage terms, the annual growth rate was 18.65%. The circulation of Urdu Dailies was 23360 thousands in 2012-13. Their circulation increased to 27288 thousands in 2013-14, recording a growth of 3928 thousands as compared to 2012-13. In percentage terms, the annual growth rate was 16.82%.

The circulation of Telugu Dailies was 12453 thousands in 2012-13. Their circulation increased to 14133 thousands in 2013-14, recording a growth of 1680 thousands as compared to 2012-13. In percentage terms, the annual growth rate was 13.49%. The circulation of Marathi Dailies was 11960 thousands in 2012-13. Their circulation increased to 12812 thousands in 2013-14, recording a growth of 852 thousands as compared to 2012-13. In percentage terms, the annual growth rate was 7.12%.
The circulation of Gujarati Dailies was 9875 thousands in 2012-13. Their circulation increased to 12347 thousands in 2013-14, recording a growth of 2472 thousands as compared to 2012-13. In percentage terms, the annual growth rate was 25.03%. The circulation of Oriya Dailies was 6981 thousands in 2012-13. Their circulation increased to 7529 thousands in 2013-14, recording a growth of 548 thousands as compared to 2012-13. In percentage terms, the annual growth rate was 7.85%. The circulation of Malayalam Dailies was 6855 thousands in 2012-13. Their circulation increased to 7181 thousands in 2013-14, recording a growth of 326 thousands as compared to 2012-13. In percentage terms, the annual growth rate was 4.76%. The circulation of Tamil Dailies was 4492 thousands in 2012-13. Their circulation increased to 4819 thousands in 2013-14, recording a growth of 327 thousands as compared to 2012-13. In percentage terms, the annual growth rate was 7.28%. The circulation of Kannada Dailies was 3605 thousands in 2012-13. Their circulation increased to 4812 thousands in 2013-14, recording a growth of 1207 thousands as compared to 2012-13. In percentage terms, the annual growth rate was 33.48%.
