Top 10 Languages as per Circulation of Fortnightly Registered Newspaper in 2013-14

The top 10 languages in terms of the Circulation of Registered Fortnightly Publications were: Hindi, English, Malayalam, Gujarati, Oriya, Urdu, Telugu, Bengali, Tamil and Marathi during 2013-14.

The circulation of Hindi registered fortnightly publications was 11026 thousands in 2013-14. Their circulation decreased from 12264 thousands in 2012-13, recording a decrease of -1238 thousands as compared to 2012-13. In percentage terms, the rate of annual decrease was -10.09%.

The circulation of English registered fortnightly publications was 2463 thousands in 2013-14. Their circulation decreased from 2484 thousands in 2012-13, recording a decrease of -21 thousands as compared to 2012-13. In percentage terms, the rate of annual decrease was -0.85%.

The circulation of Malayalam registered fortnightly publications was 1380 thousands in 2013-14. Their circulation increased from 1036 thousands in 2012-13, recording a growth of 344 thousands as compared to 2012-13. In percentage terms, the annual growth rate was 33.2%.

The circulation of Gujarati registered fortnightly publications was 1301 thousands in 2013-14. Their circulation increased from 1230 thousands in 2012-13, recording a growth of 71 thousands as compared to 2012-13. In percentage terms, the annual growth rate was 5.77%.

The circulation of Oriya registered fortnightly publications was 974 thousands in 2013-14. Their circulation decreased from 1084 thousands in 2012-13, recording a decrease of -110 thousands as compared to 2012-13. In percentage terms, the rate of annual decrease was -10.15%.
