Top 10 Hospitals with respect to Patients Benefited under Rashtriya Arogya Nidhi during 2018-19

Under the umbrella scheme of Rashtriya Arogya Nidhi (RAN) funds are not released to States/UTs. Financial assistance under the scheme is released to the hospitals where eligible patients receive treatment, based on application by the patient and recommendation of the treating hospitals in the prescribed format.

The top 10 hospitals with respect to patients benefited under RAN during 2018-19 were AIIMS (Delhi), Safdarjang Hospital (Delhi), SCTIMST (Thiruvananthapuram), SKIMS (Srinagar), PGIMER (Chandigarh), SGPGIMS (Lucknow), PCTH&RC (Puducherry), SVIMS (Tirupati), ILBS (Delhi) and LNJP (Delhi).

The number of patients benefited under RAN in AIIMS hospital, Delhi was 710 during 2018-19, down by -40.83% against 1,200 during 2017-18. There were 75 patients benefited in Safdarjang hospital, Delhi under RAN during 2017-18. It has declined by -8% to 69 during 2018-19 over 2017-18. We have seen annual growth of 106.25% in patients benefited under RAN in SCTIMST hospital, Thiruvananthapuram to 66 during 2018-19 from 32 during 2017-18.

There were 61 patients benefited under SKIMS hospital, Srinagar and 33 patients benefited under PGIMER hospital, Chandigarh under RAN during 2018-19. Annual growth of 22% and 6.45% has been observed in patients benefited under RAN in SKIMS (Srinagar) and PGIMER (Chandigarh) hospital respectively during 2018-19 above 2017-18.

During 2018-19, the number of patients benefited under RAN in SGPGIMS (Lucknow), PCTH&RC (Puducherry), SVIMS (Tirupati), ILBS (Delhi) and LNJP (Delhi) hospital was 31, 22, 20, 17 and 13 respectively.
