This visualization is based on top 10 districts with highest GDP Growth of Maharashtra from 2005-06 to 2012-13. Out of 34 districts of Maharashtra, only those districts have been selected which have shown fold change greater than the multiple of 3.4 over the base year 2004-2005 at current price (fold change is the change in multiple of base value of the variable, it is estimated by the division of GDP in 2012-2013 by GDP of base year 2004-05).
From among the selected districts, Amravati districts has GDP of Rs 7119 crores in 2004-2005 and Rs 23770 crores in 2012-2013 with 233.90% change , Dhule has GDP of Rs 4578 crores in 2004-2005 and Rs 15624 crores in 2012-2014 with 241.28% change, Gadchiroli has GDP of Rs 1991 crores in 2004-05 and Rs 6796 with 241.34% change, Latur has GDP of Rs 5066 crores in 2004-2005 and Rs 17787 crores in 2012-2013 with 251.11% change, Nanded has GDP of Rs 6334 crores in 2004-2005 and Rs 21257 crores in 2012-2013 with 235.60% change, Sindhudurg has GDP of Rs 2998 crores in 2004-2005 and Rs 10453 crores in 2012-2014 with 248.67% change, Thane has GDP Rs 54052 crores in 2004-2005 and Rs 179478 in 2012-2013 with 232.05% change, Akola has GDP Rs 4,589 crores in 2004-2005 and Rs 15,133 in 2012-2013 with 229.76%, Buldhana has GDP Rs 4,851 crores in 2004-2005 and Rs 15,958 in 2012-2013 with 228.96% change and Wahim has GDP of Rs 2108 croes in 2004-2005 and Rs 91179 crores in 2012-2013 with 335.44% change. Wahim district has shown highest growth i.e. 335.44% in Maharashtra.
