Tetanus Immunisation Achievement for Children of 16 Years Age in India during 2008-13

India has witnessed a fluctuating trend in tetanus immunisation achievement for children of 16 years age during 2008-2013.
In 2008-09, percentage of tetanus immunisation achievement for children of 16 years age was 46.5% across the country, which increased to 53.7% in 2012-13.

Lakshadweep achieved more than 100% vaccination in 2012-13.

The lowest percentage was observed in Chandigarh (9.6%) in 2012-13 and 8.7% in Lakshadweep in 2008-09 as compared to other states.

Sixteen States viz Assam, Bihar, Jharkhand, Rajasthan, Uttar Pradesh, West Bengal, Arunachal Pradesh, Delhi, Jammu and Kashmir, Manipur, Mizoram, Nagaland, Tripura, Uttarakhand, Andaman & Nicobar Islands and Chandigarh below the National average (53.7%) in 2012-13.
