Tetanus Immunisation Achievement for Children of 10 Years Age in India during 2008-13

India has witnessed a fluctuating trend in tetanus immunisation achievement for children of 10 years age during 2008-2013.

In 2008-09, percentage of tetanus immunisation achievement for children of 10 years age was 53.2% across the country, which increased to 58.7% in 2012-13.

Maharashtra, Sikkim, Dadra & Nagar Haveli and Lakshadweep achieved more than 100% vaccination in 2012-13.
The lowest percentage was observed in Delhi (13.7%) in 2012-13 and 4.0% in Lakshadweep in 2008-09 as compared to other states.

Thirteen States vizAssam, Bihar, Jharkhand, Rajasthan, Uttar Pradesh, West Bengal, Arunachal Pradesh, Delhi, Manipur, Nagaland, Tripura, Andaman & Nicobar Islands and Chandigarh below the National estimate (58.7%) in 2012-13.
