The 10 States/UTs with highest level of deficit in peak power supply during June 2015 were: Andaman and Nicobar Islands having deficit of -5 MW i.e. -25% (with peak requirement of 20 MW and peak power availability of 15); Jammu and Kashmir having deficit of -253 MW i.e. -18.9% (with peak requirement of 1342 MW and peak power availability of 1089); Uttar Pradesh having deficit of -1146 MW i.e. -12.1% (with peak requirement of 9491 MW and peak power availability of 8345); Assam having deficit of -49 MW i.e. -6.7% (with peak requirement of 736 MW and peak power availability of 687); Meghalaya having deficit of -7 MW i.e. -5.2% (with peak requirement of 137 MW and peak power availability of 130); Arunachal Pradesh having deficit of -2 MW i.e. -4.8% (with peak requirement of 39 MW and peak power availability of 37); Manipur having deficit of -2 MW i.e. -3.6% (with peak requirement of 61 MW and peak power availability of 59); Tripura having deficit of -3 MW i.e. -2.8% (with peak requirement of 108 MW and peak power availability of 105); Mizoram having deficit of -1 MW i.e. -2.6% (with peak requirement of 37 MW and peak power availability of 36) Nagaland having deficit of -1 MW i.e. -2.1% (with peak requirement of 63 MW and peak power availability of 62).
At all India level, deficit was of -1847 MW i.e. -2% (with peak requirement of 90859 MW and peak power availability of 89012). Note:# Lakshadweep and Andaman & Nicobar Islands are stand- alone systems, power supply position of these does not form part of regional requirement and availability.
