Health Sub-centres as on March 2014 and March 2015

The number of Sub-centres in India as a whole was 153655 in March 2015. It had shown an increase of 1329 in the number of Sub-centres as compared to March 2014. There were 12 states having more than 2000 Sub-centres in March 2015 viz.  Uttarakhand, Rajasthan, Maharashtra, West Bengal, Bihar, Karnataka, Madhya Pradesh, Tamil Nadu, Gujarat, Andhra Pradesh, Odisha and Chhattisgarh.

The number of Sub-centres in Uttarakhand was 20521 in March 2015. It accounted for 13.36% of the total number of Sub-centres in India in March 2015. It had same number of Sub-centres as compared to March 2014.

The number of Sub-centres in Rajasthan was 14407 in March 2015. It accounted for 9.38% of the total number of Sub-centres in India in March 2015. It had same number of Sub-centres as compared to March 2014. The number of Sub-centres in Maharashtra was 10580 in March 2015. It accounted for 6.89% of the total number of Sub-centres in India in March 2015. It had same number of Sub-centres as compared to March 2014.

The number of Sub-centres in West Bengal was 10357 in March 2015. It accounted for 6.74% of the total number of Sub-centres in India in March 2015. It had shown an increase of 1 in the number of Sub-centres as compared to March 2014. The number of Sub-centres in Bihar was 9729 in March 2015. It accounted for 6.33% of the total number of Sub-centres in India in March 2015. It had same number of Sub-centres as compared to March 2014.

The number of Sub-centres in Karnataka was 9264 in March 2015 (6.03% of All India). The number of Sub-centres in Madhya Pradesh was 9192 in March 2015 (5.98% of All India). The number of Sub-centres in Tamil Nadu was 8706 in March 2015 (5.67% of All India).

The number of Sub-centres in Gujarat was 8063 in March 2015 (5.25% of All India). The number of Sub-centres in Andhra Pradesh was 7659 in March 2015 (4.98% of All India). The number of Sub-centres in Odisha was 6688 in March 2015 (4.35% of All India). The number of Sub-centres in Chhattisgarh was 5186 in March 2015 (3.38% of All India).
