Student Classroom Ratio at Elementary Level as on April 2016

The student classroom ratio at elementary level in India was 27 as on April 2016. There were 10 States/UTs which had student classroom ratio at elementary level of less than 20 viz. Sikkim, Himachal Pradesh, Jammu and Kashmir, Mizoram, Arunachal Pradesh, Nagaland, Uttarakhand, Andaman and Nicobar Islands, Manipur and Meghalaya as on April 2016.

The student classroom ratio at elementary level in Sikkim was 12 as on April 2016. The student classroom ratio at elementary level in Sikkim was lower by 15 points as compared to student classroom ratio at elementary level at All India level. Thus, Sikkim had the best student classroom ratio at elementary level amongst all the States/UTs in India as on April 2016.

The student classroom ratio at elementary level in Himachal Pradesh was 13 as on April 2016. The student classroom ratio at elementary level in Himachal Pradesh was lower by 14 points as compared to student classroom ratio at elementary level at All India level. The student classroom ratio at elementary level in Jammu and Kashmir was 14 as on April 2016. The student classroom ratio at elementary level in Jammu and Kashmir was lower by 13 points as compared to student classroom ratio at elementary level at All India level.

The student classroom ratio at elementary level in Mizoram was 14 as on April 2016. The student classroom ratio at elementary level in Mizoram was lower by 13 points as compared to student classroom ratio at elementary level at All India level. The student classroom ratio at elementary level in Arunachal Pradesh was 16 as on April 2016. The student classroom ratio at elementary level in Arunachal Pradesh was lower by 11 points as compared to student classroom ratio at elementary level at All India level.

The student classroom ratio at elementary level in Nagaland was 18 as on April 2016 (lower by 9 points as compared to All India). The student classroom ratio at elementary level in Uttarakhand was 18 as on April 2016 (lower by 9 points as compared to All India). The student classroom ratio at elementary level in Andaman and Nicobar Islands was 19 as on April 2016 (lower by 8 points as compared to All India). The student classroom ratio at elementary level in Manipur was 19 as on April 2016 (lower by 8 points as compared to All India). The student classroom ratio at elementary level in Meghalaya was 19 as on April 2016 (lower by 8 points as compared to All India).
