State/UT-wise production of fish during 2007-13

India has witnessed an increasing trend in fish production during 2007-2013. In 2007-08, fish production was 7126.79 Thousand tonnes across the country, which increased to 9040.34 Thousand tonnes in 2012-13. Highest fish production (1808.08 Thousand tonnes) was in Andhra Pradesh in 2012-13 and 1447.27 Thousand tonnes in West Bengal in 2007-08 as compared to other states.

The lowest fish production (0.05 Thousand tonnes) was in Chandigarh and Dadra & Nagar Haveli in 2012-13 and in Dadra & Nagar Haveli in 2007-08 as compared to other states.
