State/UT-wise Production of Cow Milk in India from 2013-14 to 2015-16

India has witnessed a growth of 10.87% in Production of Cow milk to 73646 thousand tonne during 2015-16 over 2014-15. We have seen a growth of 6.8% in Production of Cow milk from 62195 thousand tonne during 2013-14 to 66423 thousand tonne during 2014-15. The top 5 States/UTs in terms of Production of Cow milk during 2015-16 were: Uttar Pradesh, Tamil Nadu, Rajasthan, Maharashtra and Madhya Pradesh.

Production of Cow milk in Uttar Pradesh was 8243 thousand tonne during 2015-16. It accounted 11.19% of total Cow milk produced in India during the year. In Uttar Pradesh, there was a growth of 3.99% and 29.06% in Cow milk production during 2014-15 and 2015-16 respectively over the previous year. Production of Cow milk in Tamil Nadu was 6868 thousand tonne during 2015-16. It accounted 9.33% of total Cow milk produced in India during the year. In Tamil Nadu, there was a growth of 3.23% and 3.25% in Cow milk production during 2014-15 and 2015-16 respectively over the previous year. Production of Cow milk in Rajasthan was 6630 thousand tonne during 2015-16. It accounted 9% of total Cow milk produced in India during the year. In Rajasthan, there was a growth of 19.84% and 8.23% in Cow milk production during 2014-15 and 2015-16 respectively over the previous year.

Production of Cow milk in Maharashtra was 6062 thousand tonne during 2015-16. It accounted 8.23% of total Cow milk produced in India during the year. In Maharashtra, there was a growth of 5.02% and 15.07% in Cow milk production during 2014-15 and 2015-16 respectively over the previous year. Production of Cow milk in Madhya Pradesh was 5930 thousand tonne during 2015-16. It accounted 8.05% of total Cow milk produced in India during the year. In Madhya Pradesh, there was a growth of 13.82% and 19.03% in Cow milk production during 2014-15 and 2015-16 respectively over the previous year.

The above mentioned top 5 states accounted for 45.8% of the total Cow milk produced in India as a whole during 2015-16.
